I have golden locks on my windows 7 desktop… why??? I "dont have permission" to open my own things

Win7hatesme Asked: I have golden locks on my windows 7 desktop… why??? I "dont have permission" to open my own things

I'm definitely no IT person, but I know SOME things… But still, someone will have to dumb down the process for me. (IF anyone even knows how. :/)

Basically RANDOMLY my desktop icons (games, pictures, and random documents i have on my desktop) ended up having a little golden lock on the bottom left corner, and whenever I try to click to open/start it, it says I don't have permission to do this… But these are MY family pictures, and MY personal documents… how do i NOT have permission to open this?

I looked up on google, and saw that someone asked a similar question about a year ago, but the only thing the answerer said was "it means its encrypted" but gave no directions on how to make this go away…

So why is this happening? What caused it? What can I do to get this to go away or go back to how it was?????

I've tried restarted my computer, I tried updating it, and i've tried restoring my computer to two different dates, and with BOTH restorations, at the end, it states that It cannot be done. >.>
