Electricity problems?

kimthanhtransbcglobalnet Asked: Electricity problems?

Yesterday, i brought out my casio keyboard piano, and i couldn't find the dc plug for the piano… i had many other plugs that fit and was a dc plug, and it turned on normally (couple of turns to keep it on since its pretty old.) after I finish playing the keyboard, i turned it off. and it started making a huge humming noise and i tried to turn it on and off and it kept humming. so i pulled out the plug and it didn't make the noise anymore, the dc adapter was hot and smelled like burnt plastic which i knew was a bad sign….
Today i got on my computer for a little. and then time the computer did the same thing. It was humming very rapidly and smelled like burnt plastic so i unplugged the power plug immediately in order for it not to burnt out… Its only been happening recently i don't know what the problem is.

First even though a plug fit the device doesnt mean that it would be the right voltage, meaning it fits but isnt sending the right amount of electricity into the machine. Now usual this affects the machine it is being plugged into not the wiring of the house. If it is the wiring then you might need to replace the outlet, but if you are a novice get a professional to take a look as electrical wiring can be dangerous and you shouldnt mess around withit if you dont know what you are doing
